ALEF ZERO

ALEF ZERO is a band whose members have been for nearly two decades associated with the alternative dance, punk, rock and jazz scenes. Stylistically, their production can be included among broken beats, such as drum‚n‘bass and breakbeat. Individual tracks are not, however, built purely on a dance basis as ALEF ZERO places great emphasis on the interconnection of electronic music and live instruments. The reluctance of the band members to lock themselves in one easily definable style gave rise to a distinctive fusion of many styles (drum‚n‘bass, reggae, breakbeat, jazz, punk, rock, folk), and therefore the live versions of their songs promise a truly eclectic rock-like-hell stuff.

The band was formed in the spring of 2004 when the first demo songs were recorded. In the autumn of that year, the whole concert line-up rehearsed a program for live performances. A successful premiere gig was held on November 26, 2004 at Zluty Pes Club in Pardubice (CZ), and then in Prague on February 21, 2005 at Club Roxy. In 2007 the band releases their first DIY CD called Olive. The band members have extensive experience in playing live in clubs throughout the Czech Republic and at all Czech major festivals (Jeleni Prikop, Go Planet Roxy, Creamfields, Summer Of Love, Zamosti, Rock For People, etc.), the musicians forming the brass section play in swing and jazz projects, while the spiritual father of the band – Teochar Bakardziev – has had his slice of almost everything that ever happened in music as such.

Currently, the band has completed a new album Back to Zero which will be released in April 2012 in both the vinyl LP and CD formats.

TIME SWITCH

TIME SWITCH (DE/ES/UK)
is a brand new project, that emerged from the core members of N.O.H.A., fronted by the jewel Minerva Díaz Pérez (Tu Café, Dive In Your Life, Pijama…).
The multinational collective, that has extensive experience from touring non stop all over Europe in the last eight years, now pooled together with a new voice from London and founded a new band!
They are excited about this additional excellent musician in their line-up: Mike Romeo! His Caribbean roots (St. Vincent and The Grenadines) combine smoothly with his London influence. Having grown up in the British music mecca he fuses his roots, his upbringing and his current, totally individual rolling style.

TIME SWITCH combine Minerva' s beautiful gleaming vocal lines with massive beats underneath, they merge drum' n' bass with real songlike structures above. They stay true to their roots of breaks, gritty electronics and flirtations with elements from different cultures, but turn it up a notch! When the band starts playing, they activate the TIME SWITCH and bring the audience intoa different perception of time, another time zone without stress and strain but lots of bass and grace.

Side by side these 5 musicians create an explosive chemical reaction. And with this energy they are currently working on a new album, which will be released when the days once again start to be hot.

DJ RABBIT

DJ RABBIT IDM/minimal/drum’n’bass/breakbeat/jungle

Josse Kral aka Dj Rabbit began DJing in West Bohemia in 1992 playing house music, mixed with tech-house and minimal techno; the turning point came in 2000 when he started playing drum&bass, breakbeat, jungle, and thus plays hitherto. He has played alongside some famous DJ's such as Ladida, Bidlo,Tráva, Agent, Pavel Krejdl, Babe LN, Suki, Touchwood and more. He is also actively engaged in playing brass instruments, drums ala percussions.

For the last couple of years, he has devoted himself to his own project TACTICAL – IDM, electronic beats, ambient dance music to break art style.
